Agustina Hastarini is scheduled to visit from June 30 to July 14, 2025, or for a 14-day visit. The total seven capitals to be visited are Istanbul, Pomorie, Sofia, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Lucerne, and Milan.
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) through this letter requests the embassy staff in each country to provide assistance for Agustina Hastarini and her delegation during this cultural mission trip.
Director of the Fiscal Justice Center of Economic and Law Studies (Celios) Media Wahyudi Askar said that the official travel letter issued by the minister is a state document. "It can only be given to government officials or active civil servants," said Askar when contacted.
Askar said that a person who is on a business trip is someone who has a role and responsibility in the activity. "Well, what is her role? It might be that she has no role or responsibility in this activity," he said. "Therefore, she is not even entitled to receive an official letter from her husband himself."
Thus, according to Askar, the circular is ethically invalid. This situation, said Askar, falls under conflict of interest and abuse of authority. "It can be investigated by one of the BPKP," he said.
The reason, this circular is suspected to be related to a minister using his authority for personal and family benefits. "Actually, it cannot just be seen from discretion."
Askar said that Law No. 17 of 2003 and the Minister of Finance Regulation No. 60 have regulated the facilities for the spouses of state officials. "Travel, including financial support, is only intended for civil servants or officials who have official assignments. Therefore, it is not intended for their spouses," he said.
According to Askar, official trips without a clear purpose have led to the misuse of state facilities. "The budget does not have a legitimate performance justification, so there are hidden nepotism practices." According to Askar, this situation is actually counterproductive to national efficiency.
Agustina confirmed her trip to Europe. However, according to her, the trip was made to accompany her child who is participating in the Euro Folk 2025 cultural mission festival with the school to represent Indonesia.

The evidence, according to Agustina, was submitted by her husband, Maman Abdurrahman, to the anti-corruption commission on July 4, 2025.
