Even, most of the match tickets have been sold out, with the majority of buyers being Indonesian residents in Australia as well as those who came directly from their homeland.
"Information from friends at Football West, the match tickets are expected to be sold out," said Persebaya Surabaya's representative, Nanang Prianto, on Sunday (7/6/2025).
"Most of the ticket buyers are Indonesians in Australia as well as those flying directly from the homeland," he added.
The match will be held at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, a modern stadium that is the home ground of Western Australia's football.
This match will also be broadcast live on Indosiar, so supporters who cannot attend can still watch it from home.
This mini training camp program was actually planned since April 2024, but had to be postponed due to the team's busy schedule at that time.
Currently, this training has become an important part of Persebaya Surabaya's preparation for the 2025/2026 Indonesia Liga 1 season.
"Alhamdulillah, this year it has been possible to enter the third week of Persebaya preparing for the new season," said Nanang.
"Especially this is part of the 35th anniversary celebration of the sister province of East Java with Western Australia," he continued.
While in Perth, the Green Force team is scheduled to train twice a day, just like when they trained at Gelora Bung Tomo.
Coach Paul Munster will use this session to sharpen the team's performance and assess the players' potential ahead of the Liga 1 kickoff.
Ernando Ari, who is now one of the main pillars of the team, said he is very motivated by this training camp.
I think that the experience of training and competing abroad will add flight hours and confidence for the players.
"Basically, we will train hard while in Perth, then compete against players who, in my opinion, have quality, including Aryn Williams," Ernando said.
"It is good for the team, it is one of the trials for the coach to determine the squad for the upcoming Liga 1," he added.
Aryn Williams is certainly not a foreign name for Bonek and Persebaya Surabaya players. The Australian midfielder once played for Green Force for two seasons, from 2019 to 2021.
During his time in the green jersey, Aryn made 17 appearances with 3 goals and 2 assists. He also received 4 yellow cards and a total of 1,465 minutes played.
