After Veda Ega Pratama won in the RedBull Rookies Cup (RBRC) Italy, it's now M Kiandra Ramadhipa's turn to shine in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship.
This built-in rider of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) impressed in the first race of the European Talent Cup (ETC) held at Magny-Cours circuit on Sunday (7/6/2025).
Amid heavy rain and two start delays, Ramadhipa, who competed together with the Honda Asia Dream Racing Junior Team, managed to reach the highest podium.
This young man from Sleman, Yogyakarta, was able to start well from the second position.
The competition in the front group is very tight with a lot of riders.
Several riders have used slipstream against Ramadhipa on several occasions, causing him to be pushed back to 8th position.
However, he could rise again and finish in the top four in the second last lap.
Starting the final lap in second position, Ramadhipa dropped to third place in the first sector.
However, he managed to overtake two riders ahead, then led the race and maintained his position until the end.
The Indonesian national anthem was played at Magny Cours and became the first historic achievement of an Indonesian rider at this circuit.
Second Race Full of Challenges
The second race was no less challenging.
Continuous rain made the track even more slippery and unpredictable.
Ramadhipa started well again, maintaining second position at the beginning of the race.
Unfortunately, two riders managed to overtake him, and he had to fight for fourth position.
Ramadhipa tried to stay with the three riders ahead, but it was not easy, so he fell behind.
Racing alone in fourth position, Ramadhipa is increasingly separated from the three riders ahead of him as well as the riders behind him, plus the rain affecting the track.
On the seventh lap, a near-incident occurred when his motorcycle wobbled violently, but he managed to control the situation and avoid an accident.
It didn't take long, the rider in fifth position had a highside, and finally the race was stopped after the red flag came out.
Ramadhipa finished in fourth position and earned 13 important points, bringing his total to 73 points.
Now it is in fourth place in the standings.
"The conditions today were difficult, but the two races were very different. I could stay in the front group until the final laps. Finally, I tried to lead the race and succeeded. I am very happy with our first victory in this event," said Ramadhipa in his statement quoted by Best for You, Tuesday (8/7/2025).
Ramadhipa wants to dedicate this victory to Borja Gomez (former Moto2 rider who died at Magny Cours) and all the people of Indonesia.
"In the second race, the conditions were worse and my goal was to finish. I almost fell, but the most important thing is the final result. I am very happy with what we achieved at Magny-Cours," said Ramadhipa.
General manager Marketing Planning and Analysis AHM, Andy Wijaya said that the historical achievements and important points achieved by Honda's trained riders are a manifestation of their hard work and adaptability.
"Although this is their first race in France, both of our drivers were able to adapt quickly, be competitive, and achieve impressive results for Indonesia. Hopefully, the 'Satu Hati' spirit they showed can inspire the younger generation to fight for their dreams," said Andy.
The next FIM JuniorGP round will take place from July 24-27, 2025, at MotorLand Aragon.
However, before that, Ramadhipa and his teammate will compete in the fifth round of the Red Bull Rookies Cup at Sachsenring Circuit, Germany, on July 12-13.
