Popular Forex trader David Mwangi, better known as King David, has shared his son Mateo's cause of death.
David revealed that his son, Mateo, passed away on Sunday, July 20, in a drowning accident.
What caused Mateo's death?
The couple and their children were reportedly vacationing when the tragedy happened.
"We lost our precious son, Mateo, on Sunday at 11 am due to a tragic drowning accident. As parents, our hearts are shattered in ways words can’t explain. Mateo was full of love, light, and laughter and losing him has left a hole we will carry forever," he wrote.
They denied online rumors, terming them untrue, irresponsible, and cruel.
The distraught parents wrote in a heartfelt message that despite experiencing a great deal of loss, they have been unfairly accused.
"But in the midst of our pain, we’ve seen cruel and careless comments accusing us of things so far from the truth. Please understand this: we would never harm our child. We loved him deeply, and we still do. This was a tragic accident, and we’re still trying to process the pain," he shared.
The family appealed for empathy from the public, asking them to consider how they would feel if it were their child or family in a similar situation.
They urged moderation, stressing that hurtful remarks shouldn't be used to add to already broken hearts.
The bereaved family requested in their message that the public refrain from adding to their grief by using offensive language.
"Before you speak, ask yourself, what if it was your child? What if it was your family going through this? Please, don’t add more hurt to hearts that are already broken. We ask for your prayers, not your judgment. Rest in peace, our sweet boy Mateo. You’ll always be loved," he added.
