"Later, the scheduling of the witnesses, there are some who are unable to attend and others with different reasons, the investigators will consider this in the process of deepening the investigation currently being carried out," said the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, to journalists on Sunday (6/7/2025).
Nevertheless, Ade Ary has not yet explained whether there is a schedule for re-summoning Roy Suryo.

"Later, the investigators will consider who still needs to be questioned, who has already provided enough information, and clearly, the collection of facts is still ongoing," he explained.
For information, Roy Suryo and others were reported by some Jokowi's volunteers to the police after the president's fake diploma allegations became widespread.
First, the report came from the Patriotic Youth Community Organization together with Jokowi Volunteers to Metro Jakarta Police on Wednesday (23/4/2025) afternoon.
Besides Roy, the other reported parties are digital forensic expert Rismon Sianipar, Deputy Chairman of the Team for the Defense of Clerics and Activists (TPUA) Rizal Fadillah, and doctor Tifauzia Tyassuma.
This report is based on the suspicion of violating Article 160 of the Criminal Code regarding incitement in public.
After several days, a group of people belonging to the Peradi Bersatu organization visited Bareskrim Polri in Jakarta on Thursday (24/4/2025).
They formed a team named Advocate Public Defender to file a police report regarding the controversial claim that the diploma of President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, is fake.
Finally, the reports from various Polres were collected by Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation.
Roy Suryo Refuses to Come
Roy Suryo admitted that he is very prepared to attend the clarification invitation sent by the Polda Metro Jaya investigators regarding the report from Jokowi's volunteers.
"Saya secara pribadi dan InsyaAllah bersama Pak Rizal Fadillah, Kurnia Tri Royani, DR Rismon, Dr Tifah, dan Prof Eggi Sudjana adalah orang-orang yang diundang besok saat klarifikasi hari Rabu di Polda Metro Jaya. Kami sebenarnya siap 11.000 triliun persen, kami siap," kata Roy Suryo dalam konferensi pers di Jakarta Timur, Selasa (1/7/2025).
Nevertheless, this former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) admitted he would not comply with the summons from the Polda Metro Jaya investigators.
"But we greatly respect the advice and counsel of our legal team. Legally, it is not necessary to attend, but we are ready," he said.
"Our statement is ready to explain that we reject any negative narratives saying that we are absent. We are not absent; we held the press conference today intentionally to respond beforehand. So it's not that we suddenly don't come tomorrow and then give a statement. No. We will also inform the Polda Metro Jaya," he said.
Lawyer Says It Is Not Binding
Meanwhile, Roy Suryo's lawyer team, Ahmad Khozinudin, stated that the invitation for clarification on the report had no nomenclature.
He revealed that the reference in carrying out actions in criminal cases, the procedural law is Law No. 8 of 1981 concerning the Criminal Procedure Code or the Book of Criminal Procedure Laws.
In the Criminal Procedure Code, Ahmad said, there is no provision in any article that regulates the mechanism of investigating criminal cases by issuing a clarification invitation.
"There is a summons, first summons, second summons. When the second summons is not fulfilled and there is no reason, and the summons has been properly executed, then it is possible to take enforcement measures," he said.
Therefore, according to Ahmad, this clarification invitation has no legal force and is not legally binding on the public, including our clients.
In his opinion, the other reporters besides Jokowi do not have legal standing to file a report.
Moreover, the reporters have no family relationship with Jokowi or are irrelevant.
"For example, in the case of the report from Mr. Joko Widodo, who felt humiliated to the lowest extent, insulted to the worst degree, then at that time there was a Clarification Invitation from Polda Metro Jaya which we fulfilled," he said.
"Since there is an interest for us to explain the facts regarding our client's research which scientifically concludes that the title is fake or counterfeit," he continued.
She points out that the reports made by these volunteers fall under the criminalization of her client.
Based on that, Roy Suryo and others are said not to attend the clarification invitation to be held tomorrow at Polda Metro Jaya.
