The discussion began with a post from X account @kegblganunf***.
The name is known from the upload of a student's report card from one of the elementary schools in Karawang Regency.
In the upload, the student's name is written as "AKULAH CINTA DI LANGIT PRUDENCE LOVELY PRINCESS OF AWANAMP".
"Who are you calling here,?" wrote the caption on the account.
The post immediately attracted various comments from netizens.
Some netizens believe and say that even the female student has the longest name.

Response of Dukcapil
The Director General of Civil Registration and Population (Dirjen Dukcapil), Teguh Setyabudi, said that unique and long names like those in the viral upload do indeed exist and have been officially recorded in the population data.
"Yes, the name exists and is recorded in the population data," he said when confirmed on Monday (7/7/2025), quoted from Kompas.com.
Although it may sound uncommon, he emphasized, the use of such a long and unique name does not violate the existing rules.
The name remains legally valid because it does not conflict with the provisions in the applicable civil registration regulations in Indonesia.
In other words, as long as the name proposed for registration does not contain prohibited elements, such as defamation, provocation, or matters conflicting with norms, then any name, regardless of its length, is still permitted and can be published in official civil documentation.
It is known that the name "Akulah Cinta Di Langit Prudence Lovely Princess Of Awanamp" contains 58 characters consisting of nine words.
According to Teguh, the naming of the child complies with the regulations on naming, which is a maximum of 60 characters.
Rules for Giving a Child's Name
Furthermore, Teguh explained that the rules regarding the recording of residents' names are regulated in the Ministerial Regulation of the Interior (Permendagri) Number 73 of 2022 concerning the Recording of Names in Administrative Documents.
This regulation is issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as an official guideline for writing names on civil registration documents such as the ID card and Family Card (KK).
"His main purpose is to support the smooth public service, provide legal protection for children, and ensure that the recorded name reflects the values of religion, courtesy, morality, and remains in accordance with the applicable regulations," he emphasized.
Among the important points in this Ministerial Regulation are:
- Minimum 2 words: the name on the official document must consist of at least two words.
- Maximum 60 characters: name cannot be more than 60 characters.
- Easy to read: the name must be easy to read and not cause multiple interpretations.
- No negative meaning: the name must not contain a negative meaning.
- It cannot be abbreviated: the name cannot be abbreviated, except when there is no other meaning of the abbreviation.
- Cannot use numbers and punctuation: the name must use Latin letters and no punctuation or symbols.
- Educational and religious titles cannot be listed in civil registration documents: academic and religious titles cannot be listed in birth, death, marriage, divorce, and child acknowledgment certificates.
- Academic and religious titles may be listed on the Family Card and electronic ID card: these titles can be listed but can be abbreviated in writing.
