The family of Wusi Kishamba Member of County Assembly (MCA), Duncan Wangama, is mourning the heartbreaking death of his wife, Stella Machocho Wangama.
Stella was laid to rest on Thursday, 17 July, in an emotional funeral ceremony attended by close relatives and friends who gathered to pay their final respects and say goodbye.
MCA Duncan Wangama weeps at wife’s burial
MCA Wangama could not contain his grief; he wept bitterly upon viewing his wife's body in the coffin. His relatives supported him, offering comfort and strength during the difficult moment.
In photos shared from the burial, the heartbroken man was captured crying uncontrollably, seemingly overwhelmed by the thought of life without his beloved wife.
Wangama’s sorrow deeply moved other mourners, who also wept alongside him just before Stella was laid to rest at Kitalenyi village in Ngerenyi, Taita Taveta county.
How did Taita Taveta MCA’s wife die?
Stella passed away in the early hours of 8 July, barely a full day after giving birth to their beautiful baby girl.
She had delivered successfully via a Caesarean section, but unfortunately, developed post-delivery complications.
Despite the doctors’ efforts to save her, she succumbed to the complications, leaving her husband in deep grief.
What makes the tragedy even more painful is that the couple had held their wedding ceremony less than two years ago, meaning they were still relatively new in their marriage.
Kenyans comfort MCA Duncan Wangama
Leaders from the county and Kenyans on social media sent messages of condolence to the grieving MCA, praying for God's comfort and strength to be with him.
Among those who offered their sympathies were Taita Taveta governor Andrew Mwadime and his Deputy Christine Kilalo, who both attended the funeral.
Mwadime stated that Stella’s untimely death had robbed the family of a nurturing and supportive wife, and her husband of a true partner in his commitment to serving their community.

How did Mrisho Mpoto’s wife die?
In other news, Best for you.co.kereported that legendary Tanzanian singer Mrisho Mpoto tragically lost his beloved wife.
Mrisho revealed that his wife had been managing hypertension for the past five years and had been undergoing treatment.
He explained that she was handling preparations for their daughter’s wedding when her blood pressure suddenly spiked.
He rushed her to the hospital, where she was receiving treatment, but sadly, she collapsed after asking to use the washroom. He said she suffered a heart attack.
