The Papua KKB leader who was shot dead is the person responsible for the brutal attacks on construction workers, civilians and even churches.
He is Enos Tipagau, Commander of the Kodap VIII Soanggama Battalion, Intan Jaya, Central Papua.
Enos Tipagau was shot dead by TNI soldiers belonging to the Habema Operational Command.
Commander of the Habema Operational Command, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto stated that Enos Tipagau is one of the important figures of the separatist group Organisasi Papua Merdeka (Free Papua Organization), who is the mastermind behind various terrorist actions and human rights violations that have taken lives, created a sense of fear, and hindered the development in Papua.
"Yes, this morning around 07.16 WIT, we had to take strict and measured action, because the main suspect in various human rights crimes in Papua resisted and attacked TNI soldiers when they were being arrested from his hiding place in Baitapa Village, Intan Jaya Regency," said Lucky, on Saturday.
Lucky explained that the firm actions taken by the TNI were to restore conditions, as well as the safety and security of the surrounding community.
This is in accordance with the Inpres No. 9 of 2020 regarding the Acceleration of Papua's Welfare Development.
As for the hiding place of Enos Tipagau, TNI seized evidence including a bow, 6 arrows, 2 mobile phones, 1 speaker, 1 noken and necklace, and a piece of the Star of Morning Star flag.
"From Enos Tipagau's hands and hiding place, we seized some evidence from Enos Tipagau's hiding place, among others a bow along with 6 arrows, 2 mobile phones, 1 speaker, 1 noken and necklace, as well as a piece of the Morning Star Flag," explained Lucky.
She revealed a series of brutal actions by Enos Tipagau and his group, including attacking and shooting civilians, such as construction workers, farmers, and even local religious figures, who are none other than the indigenous Papuans (OAP).
In addition, Enos Tipagau and his group are also known for not hesitating to take the lives of civilians who support and live within the framework of NKRI.
Lucky explained in his actions, Enos Tipagau burned houses, traditional honai, schools, and health centers. The "burning land" action not only caused material losses but also trauma for the community, especially Papuan children and women.
"Those who are no less despicable, this group uses teenagers and young people as human shields when they carry out attacks against TNI/Polri security posts, including in Baitapa District and Mamba Village, Sugapa District," said Lucky.
In addition, Enos Tipagau and his group often kidnap locals and workers from outside Papua who are working on infrastructure projects.
For victims who were tortured and killed as a form of propaganda and terror to instill fear in the Papua region.
The brutal OPM that openly targets the community, especially the Papuans, settlements, schools, health centers, and churches as their terror targets, is increasingly fueling the Papuan people's hatred towards this separatist group.
“Ini masalah waktu saja ya (penumpasan OPM), dengan dukungan penuh dan simpati masyarakat khususnya OAP kepada kami, Insya Allah saudara kita ufuk timur Indonesia ini dapat segera hidup dengan aman, damai, makmur dan sejahtera,” pungkas Lucky.
Berikut ini sejumlah daftar kejahatan yang dilakukan Enos Tipagau:
1. 15 Februari 2021 terlibat kontak tembak di Kampung Mamba, Kabupaten Intan Jaya, yang menyebabkan gugurnya seorang prajurit TNI, almarhum Prada Ginanjar.
2. February 8, 2021, there was an shooting against a civilian named Ramli NR.
3. On October 26, 2021, there was a shooting incident in Mamba Village, Sugapa District, resulting in injured victims named Asep Herman (TNI member), Yoakim Majau (6 years old), and a deceased victim, Apertinus Sondegau (2 years old).
4. Enos is also known to have ordered Undius Kogoya to send weapons, and stated that his group was ready to carry out an attack.
5. 29 Oktober 2021 terlibat pembakaran kios dan satu unit mobil ambulans milik Bandara Bilorai, yang terjadi di kompleks bandara, Kabupaten Intan Jaya.
