This case was uncovered after one of the victims' fathers reported to Kubu Raya Police Station.
"Laporan dibuat oleh the victim's father on June 5, 2025, one day before the Eid al-Adha holiday. The perpetrator was successfully arrested on June 13, 2025," explained Aiptu Ade.
Kubu Raya Police emphasized that they will continue to investigate the case and prioritize its handling.
Currently, the suspect is known to be hospitalized due to illness and is still in the process of recovery.
PW PII Urges Government to Audit Pesantren
The West Kalimantan Branch of the Indonesian Islamic Students' Association (PW PII) expressed its concern regarding this case.
PW PII Kalbar expresses a firm stance on the sexual violence case committed by an individual instructor at a boarding school located in Sungai Belidak Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency.
In its statement, PW PII West Kalimantan emphasized that this crime not only harms the values of education and religion, but also undermines the sense of security in an environment that should be the place where the character, ethics, and faith of the younger generation grow.
This event is a form of systemic failure in the protection of children within the religious education environment.
PW PII Kalbar strongly condemns the immoral act of the perpetrator with the initial NK.
This is a sexual crime as well as a betrayal of the educational trust, a betrayal of religious values, and a serious violation of humanity.
PW PII Kalbar requests that the perpetrator must be punished as severely as possible.
"we demand the law enforcement agencies, especially Polres Kubu Raya, Polda Kalbar and the Public Prosecutor's Office to process this case openly and without compromise," stated the position statement from PW PII Kalbar.

• Establishment of a Student Protection Task Force under the coordination of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and KPAI/KPPAD in each regency/city.
• Provision of a safe and confidential mechanism for reporting sexual violence at Educational institution.
• Improvement of teacher/mentor training on educational ethics, child protection, and non-violence.
• Intensive socialization of the Law on Domestic Violence (UU TPKS) and the Child Protection Law to all institutions education.
• Establishment of a civil society monitoring forum for public engagement in Overseeing religious educational institutions.
