Best for you.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk ( ANTM ) officially entered its 57th year since its establishment on July 5, 1968. Entering more than half a century, ANTM continues to strengthen its position as a pioneer in the downstream processing of strategic minerals in Indonesia.
As part of the Mining BUMN Holding MIND ID, ANTM has successfully created added value through main commodities such as gold, nickel, and bauxite, while also contributing to national economic growth.
Chairman of Antam Achmad Ardianto emphasized that the company always prioritizes two main principles in its operations, namely value creation dan sustainability .
She stated that Antam is not only a mining company, but also a driver of high-value-added industries.
"Since its establishment until now, Antam has not only been a mineral operator, but also an integral part of the pulse of development. We have consistently contributed through state revenues, creation of jobs, and empowerment of communities in the areas where we operate," said Ardianto in an official statement on Monday (7/7).
Build the Upstream Ecosystem
As a manifestation of Asta Cita, ANTM leads the development of an electric vehicle battery ecosystem, covering the nickel value chain from mining to battery recycling facilities.
In the alumina sector, ANTM is completing the construction of the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) project in Mempawah through its subsidiary.
In the precious metals sector, ANTM strengthens its cooperation with PT Freeport Indonesia for the supply of at least 30 tons of gold per year.
The company is also preparing to build a precious metals factory at the Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE), Gresik.
"Through the processing of gold, nickel, and bauxite, Antam has become a catalyst for strengthening the national industrial structure and creating sustainable added value," said Ardianto.
Outstanding Performance in Five Years
In the last five years, ANTM has recorded significant performance growth. Nickel ore production increased from 4.76 million wet metric tons (wmt) in 2020 to 9.94 million wmt in 2024.
Gold sales also surged from 22,09 tons in 2020 to 43,78 tons in 2024, strengthening Antam's position as the leading precious metals producer in the domestic market.
Contribution to the country also increased sharply, from Rp 758.81 billion in 2020 to Rp 4.8 trillion in 2024, including tax payments, royalties, and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
Company revenue also soared from Rp 27.37 trillion in 2020 to Rp 69.19 trillion in 2024, the highest in Antam's history.
Market diversification strategy, cost efficiency, and downstream processing have become the main drivers of these achievements.
Sustainability Commitment
Not only excelling in business performance, ANTM also emphasizes its commitment to environmental sustainability.
In line with the Paris Agreement, the company aims to reduce emissions by 15.8% by 2030 and increase the share of renewable energy to 10% from the 2023 baseline.
In 2024, the energy efficiency program successfully reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 4.72% and cut energy consumption by 23% to 12.39 million GJ. ANTM also reclaimed 1,462 hectares of post-mining land, equipped with Recomasi technology—a real-time ecological assessment system based on vegetation to ensure the success of environmental rehabilitation.
"Corporate sustainability in the future is determined by operational integrity and environmental responsibility. Therefore, Antam continues to strengthen governance, efficiency, and commitment to decarbonization," said Ardianto.
