The police did not detail the chronology of the alleged hit-and-run committed by AS, but they have already agreed to resolve it privately.

Ferry Walintukan, Head of Public Relations of North Sumatra Police, said the incident began when Iptu A was on duty in Tapsel and carrying out official work at North Sumatra Police, on Sunday (7/6/2025). After the activity, Iptu A slept at his home in Medan City at 5:00 PM.

Ferry said that the hit-and-run allegations mentioned in the viral video cannot yet be proven.
"The result of the clarification from the relevant party (the perpetrator) shows that the vehicle was involved in a collision between two four-wheeled vehicles. The examination of AS and the vehicle that was hit did not find any evidence related to hit-and-run," explained Ferry.
