The Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion RI (Ditjen Pendis Kemenag) has released the Matsama material for the 2025/2026 academic year for new students at RA, MI, MTs, MA, and MAK levels.
Matsama TA 2025/2026 is the orientation or first activity for entering school to prepare students so they feel happy, comfortable, and joyful.
Therefore, the madrasah must create a very memorable positive experience for new students through the Matasam activities of the 2025/2026 academic year.
Through the Matasam TA 2025/2026 activities, new students of the madrasah will be introduced to the madrasah environment, madrasah habits and culture, rules and regulations, learning system, including introducing teachers and educational staff, uniqueness, characteristics, and advantages of the madrasah.
Therefore, RA, MI, MTs, MA, and MAK levels need to fill in the orientation activities or Matsama for the 2025/2026 academic year, which are educational, creative, and enjoyable for students.
Referring to the implementation guidelines for Matsama TA 2025/2026, madrasah can carry out this orientation activity for at least 3 days in the first week of the academic year.
The Directorate of Religious Education (Ditjen Pendis) of the Ministry of Religion urges that the implementation of Matsama 2025/2026 can run well, achieve its goals, be rich in the unique values of madrasah, and avoid problems such as violence, bullying, and other immoral actions.

To achieve the objectives of the Matsama 2024 activity for RA, MI, MTs, MA, and MAK, the Ministry of Religion has distributed the Matsama material guidelines delivered to new students of the madrasah as follows:
Material for TA 2025/2026
Read the syllabus of the Matsama TA 2025/2026 material presented to the new students of the madrasah as follows:
1. Incompetence
Purpose: so that participants have an understanding of the madrasah where students study and have pride in their madrasah.
Scope of the material includes, among others:
- Short profile of each madrasah (vision-mission and strengths);
- Facilities and supporting infrastructure for learning;
- Introduction of teachers and educational staff; as well as
- Show extracurricular activities and student organizations.
2. Values of madrasah
Purpose: for participants to have a way of thinking, attitude, and behavior in accordance with the values and characteristics developed in the school during the educational process that makes them more moral.
Scope of the material includes, among others:
- Orientation of worship in the teaching and learning process;
- School rules;
- Etiquette/manners towards teachers, staff, parents, friends, social interactions and social media manners;
- The way to adapt oneself in following lessons at the madrasah according to one's level;
3. Safe, comfortable, pleasant madrasah
Purpose: for participants to actively contribute to creating a safe, comfortable, and pleasant learning environment and atmosphere in the madrasah, far away from bullying and violence, intolerant behavior, sexual harassment, and the use of tobacco and narcotics.
Scope of the material includes, among others:
- Introduction to forms of bullying and violence, both physical, psychological, and neglect/social exclusion, and how to avoid them.
- Introduction to forms of sexual harassment and how to avoid them.
- Introduction to the dangers of smoking and drugs and how to avoid them.
- Introduction on how to prevent and handle acts of violence/bullying, sexual harassment, avoiding smoking and staying away from drugs.
- How to become a reporter and pioneer in preventing bullying, sexual harassment, intolerance, violence, and drug abuse.
- Pledge and promise of new students to stay away from bullying, intolerance, sexual harassment, smoking and drugs.
4. Religious Moderation
Purpose: to provide an understanding of how to practice religious teachings in the context of harmonious and tolerant life together, nation and state amidst differences and diversity of the Indonesian nation;
Scope of the material includes, among others:
- National commitment (Pancasila, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and 1945 Constitution);
- Tolerance is accepting differences and respecting those who are different;
- Against violence in the struggle for truth and belief; and
- Adaptable to culture and local wisdom.
5. Implementation of eco-theology in the school environment
Purpose: to enhance responsibility, environmental awareness, build real actions and a culture of healthy, disciplined, responsible, resilient, progressive, not easily giving up, and outstanding lifestyle.
Scope of the material includes, among others:
- Planting trees in the school environment,
- Concern for environmental cleanliness and greenery,
- Formation of discipline, honesty and responsibility,
- Developing mental toughness, advancing without easily giving up, and achieving worldwide success.
