The party accused in the case of Jokowi's fake diploma is being prosecuted for two alleged legal violations.
First, Article 160 of the Criminal Code regarding incitement to commit a criminal act.
Second, Article 28 paragraph (2) of Law No. 19 Year 2016 on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE).
Thus, the spread of false information causing chaos among the community.
Polda Metro Jaya stated that a new case title will be issued after all witness statements and evidence are considered complete.
Until now, there are no suspects in this case.
Kompol Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah, a bodyguard of Jokowi, is being examined as a witness in the case of alleged defamation against Jokowi related to the accusation of a fake diploma.
When arriving at Polda Metro, Syarif was seen accompanied by two lawyers of Jokowi, namely Yakup Hasibuan and Andre Pasaribu.
Syarif, when confirmed, said that his arrival at Polda Metro was indeed to comply with the investigator's summons in the case reported by Jokowi.
"I have responded to the summons from the Polda Metro investigators to give testimony regarding the case reported by Mr. Joko Widodo," said Syarif.
Syarif refused to disclose the material questioned by the investigator.
"Please ask the investigator directly," he said.

Kompol Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah is known to have been born in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan Province on April 17, 1991.
She studied at SD Muhammadiyah 2 in Pontianak.
After that, Syarif continued his education at SMP Negeri 3 in Pontianak.
After finishing primary school, Syarif then continued his education at SMA Taruna Nusantara, Magelang, Central Java.
After that, he also studied at the Police Academy (Akpol).
Syarif is known to have married Widya Ariska, the daughter of Kombes Koeshartono Arif Sudrajat.
This couple was blessed with two children, one boy and one girl.
Syarif has accompanied Jokowi since 2016 when he was still a Police Captain (AKP).
She still accompanied Jokowi after he stepped down on October 20, 2024.
Syarif is guarding Jokowi, who has now returned to Solo City, Central Java.
The struggle of Syarif to be accepted into Akpol was not easy.
After graduating from high school in 2009, Syarif was rejected twice to enter Akpol.
She then tried to apply to become a member of the Indonesian Navy, but was also rejected.
Various rejections once made him almost desperate.
However, he got up and tried to enroll in college.
Unfortunately, it was also rejected even though I have applied four times.
Syarif then tried to re-enroll in Akpol in 2012.
Finally, that year his dream of becoming a police officer came true.
