"Initially, I saw that there were no such attractions in West Java. So we tried to create something new, and fortunately, it went viral," said Chandra when met on Jalan Dangdeur Ciherang, Kiangroke, Banjaran, on Saturday (6/28/2025).
Chandra said that Dangdeur Van Java was only opened on May 1, 2025, but it immediately attracted visitors' attention in a short time because of its unique concept.
This attraction offers a mini train ride experience with a track surrounding lush rice fields.
Chandra explained that all tracks and vehicles were made by hand in just one month.
To support security and comfort, this mini train uses a motor engine, after previously considering the battery and electric options.
"Kita choose motor engine because it is more stable and safe for this type of track," said Chandra.
This attraction consists of five carriages that can accommodate up to 17 people per ride.
Tickets are reasonably priced, at Rp 15,000 for one ride and Rp 20,000 for two rides.
Children above the age of 3 are charged, while those below that age are free.
Train tourism featuring lush rice fields and the fresh air typical of Pangalengan, this rice field train experience becomes a pleasant alternative for family tourism, especially for children.
Although located in the middle of a rice field area, Chandra ensured that the existence of Dangdeur Van Java track does not interfere with local agricultural activities.
"We made the crossing in the rice field's edge, not in the middle of the rice field. So it doesn't interfere with the crops or harvest," said Chandra.
The land used is village carik land, and the management is carried out through a profit-sharing cooperation with the village.
Dangdeur Van Java is currently the first active attraction in Kiangroke Village Tourism, although its village tourism program is still in the development stage.
In front, Chandra mentioned there are plans to add facilities such as cabin houses, rice field houses, and other children's playgrounds in this area.
"Insyaallah, there will be further developments later. For now, we should focus on this attraction," he said.

To reach Dangdeur Van Java, visitors can exit at Seroja Toll (Soreang-Pasir Koja) and continue the journey for about 1 hour towards the tourist destination.
Interestingly, Dangdeur Street, where this tourist attraction is located, also serves as an alternative route to Pangalengan, especially if the main Banjaran-Pangalengan route is congested.
