Meanwhile, among the 24 names of the candidates for ambassador, there are several notable names such as Lieutenant General (Letjen) TNI (Retired) Hotmangaradja Pontas Pandjaitan, former Deputy Treasurer of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Raden Dato Mohammad Iman Hascarya Kusumo, and former Minister of Coordinating Maritime Affairs Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo.
In addition, the name of Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the Deputy Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN), also entered as a candidate for ambassador.
Indroyono Soesilo
According to the official website of the Centre for Technology and Innovation Studies (CTIS), the man born in Bandung on March 27, 1955, once served as Minister of Maritime Affairs in Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla's Cabinet.
Indroyono served as Minister of Maritime Affairs for only one year, 2014-2015, before eventually being replaced by Rizal Ramli. Then, the position was continued by Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan until the end of Jokowi's 10-year administration in 2024.

According to various sources, Hotmangaradja is an Indonesian bureaucrat and military figure. Hotmangaradja is the son of the Revolutionary Hero, Colonel General TNI Anumerta D.I. Pandjaitan.

Hotmangaradja is not a new person in the context of the Ambassador. The man born in Palembang on October 14, 1953, previously served as the Indonesian ambassador to France, Andorra, Monaco, and UNESCO during the period 2014-2018.
This female graduate of the Military Academy (1977) comes from the infantry branch (Kopassus). During her time in the TNI, her last position as a three-star general was as the head of the Political and Security Coordination Board.

After retirement, Hotmangaradja served as President of the Democracy Integrity for Peace (DIP) Institute, a defense and security politics think tank.
