After Gary Rowett's statement indicating that Marselino might be loaned to another team, Bonek revealed their desire for the former Persebaya wonderkid to return to Surabaya. Bonek believes that Marselino would get more playing time while at Persebaya.
In order to see Marselino Ferdinan's actions again in Persebaya, Bonek asked Oktafianus Fernando, his older brother, to persuade his younger brother.

In the era of Aji Santoso, Marselino Ferdinan began his career at Persebaya in the 2021/2022 season. The player, who is now 20 years old, made his debut in Liga 1 in a match against Persikabo 1973 when he came on as a substitute for Bruno Moreira.
In his debut season, Marselino Ferdinan played brilliantly with Green Force and became a favorite of Bonek and Bonita. According to Transfermarkt, he recorded seven assists and four goals in 23 matches.
