"The suspect took the money because he felt deceived by the seller. Therefore, his act of taking the money is an outcome suffered by the suspect as a buyer. In my opinion, it is more appropriate to apply Article 352 of the Criminal Code regarding minor offenses," he explained.
No One Has Apologized
JNT courier Pamekasan, Irwan Siskiyanto responded to the peace proposal from Zainal Arifin's family in the case of the assault he suffered.
The JNT courier, who is commonly called Irwan, stated that he still hopes the perpetrator will enter prison.
The reason in this case is that he feels very harmed, as if he has to take a break from work while undergoing the ongoing legal process.
"The most expected thing, I ask the perpetrator to go to prison," said Irwan, Saturday (7/5/2025).
According to Irwan, his family and he himself do not want to be reconciled with the suspect's family.
He admitted that until now, the perpetrator and his family have not been approached for reconciliation.
Not even the perpetrator or his family has apologized to him.
"we want to stay in prison," he emphasized.
Previously, the Pamekasan Regency Police (Polres Pamekasan) in Madura conducted a reconstruction of the case of abuse committed by Zainal Arifin against Irwan Siskiyanto, a JNT courier from Bringah Village, Dasok Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency, Madura.
This reconstruction was held in front of the suspect's store, which was the location where the assault occurred on Jalan Raya Teja, Pamekasan Regency, Thursday (3/7/2025).
Field observation shows that AKP Doni Setiawan, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Division of Pamekasan Regency Police, directly led the reconstruction of the criminal case involving the JNT courier.
Suspect Arif and his wife were present in this reconstruction process.
Kasat Reskrim Polres Pamekasan, AKP Doni Setiawan explained that the reconstruction was carried out to re-examine the incident related to the chronology and details of the event that occurred.
In addition, to collect relevant evidence for a legal case or investigation, and to increase public awareness of the events that have occurred, and to develop theories about the events that have occurred.
"Besides that, it is also to clarify the role of each witness and perpetrator, and can help solve the case that occurred," explained AKP Doni Setiawan.
In the implementation of the reconstruction, witnesses and victims (played by substitute actors) demonstrated what had happened at the time of the abuse suffered by Irwan, a JNT courier from Pamekasan.
There are about 12 scenes performed in the reconstruction.
Starting from the victim's arrival when intending to deliver the order package of the perpetrator's wife, ending with abuse.
"As we all know, a few days ago, it went viral on social media and online news that a JNT courier was assaulted by an online buyer (COD), because the goods did not match the order," explained AKP Doni Setiawan.
According to AKP Doni, after conducting a series of investigations and a case review, Arif was immediately designated as a suspect.
The suspect Arif is charged under Article 365 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 9 years imprisonment, or under Article 351 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 2 years and 8 months imprisonment, and under Article 335 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 1 year imprisonment.
"Alhamdulillah, the reconstruction activities are proceeding safely and orderly. Hopefully, it can help solve the case," closed AKP Doni.
