In a viral video, Sudirman, wearing an ASN uniform, is seen riding a trail motor passing through a crowd of residents who were working together to repair the road.

Sudirman mengaku bahwa peristiwa melewati kerumunan warga yang sedang kerja bakti itu terjadi di jalan poros Desa Bonto-Pattongko, pekan lalu.
Menurut Sudirman, ia memimpin langsung jalannya kerja bakti.
"I am the one who directly led the community service," said Sudirman, Tuesday (8/7/2025), quoted from Tribun-Timur.
Meanwhile, the reason he passed through the crowd of residents was to move his motorcycle before pouring the road.
"Fortunately, my motorcycle was positioned below and the road was about to be paved, so the residents asked me to move the motorcycle up before the road paving was done," he said.
Sudirman said that the viral video clip was even recorded by himself using his own mobile phone.
"Many of them are on my phone because I record every job I do," he said.
Sudirman's purpose in recording the activity was to gain serious attention from the Sinjai Regional Government.
"Kan this is a district road, but there is no budget because of efficiency, so I invited the community to work on it voluntarily," he said.
Defense of Village Head Sudirman Enters Mosque Wearing Shoes
Video of a person entering the mosque wearing shoes, Sudirman explained that the incident occurred before the 2025 Idul Adha prayer at Miftahuk Jannah Mosque in Bonto Village.
"At that time, the mosque was being tiled. Previously, I was on the mosque's porch helping the residents carry the tiles," said Sudirman.
"Once I was about to go back to the village office, suddenly someone called me to check the position of the wall tile installation," he continued.
Sudirman's Apology for Causing a Stir
Sudirman also expressed his apologies for the commotion that occurred.
"With a sincere heart, I apologize for this incident. There is no intention to belittle or disrespect the residents," he said.

Village Consultative Body (BPD) Bonto and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Sinjai responded to the action of Sudirman, the Head of Bonto Village, in Sinjai Tengah District, Sinjai Regency, South Sulawesi, which went viral on social media.
She said, there was no intention to show arrogance in front of the villagers.
She denied the social media narrative.
Kata Marsuki, Sudirman at that time moved his motorcycle to facilitate the road repair process.
"Saya yang meminta untuk memindahkan motornya karena motor itu berada di posisi bawah (lereng) dan jalan yang diperbaiki hampir dicor," kata Marsuki kepada Tribun-Timur.com, Selasa (8/7/2025).
Sudirman had to pass through the crowd because, according to Marsuki, there was no other way.
At that time, Sudirman's motor was in the lower part (downslope) of the road that would be poured.
"It must pass through the middle of the residents because there is no other way," he said.
Marsuki also claimed that Sudirman performed well during his tenure.
"I consider Pak Desa's performance to be good. If there are any complaints from the residents, they are resolved," he said.
One example of Sudirman's performance is always maintaining togetherness.
"Almost every week, we always work together to repair the infrastructure led by the Village Head," he said.
Even Sudirman did not hesitate to use his own money to help fund the food and drinks for the residents who participated in the community service.
"Because when we do a community service and the Village Head is always there, he gives money for food and drinks," he said.

Sudirman himself is not the first to receive public attention.
Quoting Tribuntimur.com, the head of Bonto village in Sinjai Tengah district also went viral for removing stickers from the village's operational vehicle and covering the rotator in 2023.
At that time, his action caused protests because he should not have removed the sticker from the operational vehicle.
