According to the KPK Spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, their party has not yet decided on summoning Maman or his wife, but it is not ruled out if the investigation needs to go that way.

KPK also highlighted the importance of integrity in the use of facilities, by public officials themselves as well as by their family members.

In this context, Budi reminded the state organizers to remain vigilant against forms of gratification that are not always direct.
"Modus of gratification is not always directed at the official directly. It can also be channeled through family members, relatives, or other related parties," he explained.
He also mentioned that the public's involvement in conveying information to the KPK is an important part of public supervision over the integrity of state officials. According to him, the public's attention to these allegations greatly helps the supervision process.

Response of Maman Abdurrahman Regarding His Wife Accused of Using State Funds
Meanwhile, Minister of SMEs Maman Abdurrahman responded to the developing issue. He stated clearly that all funding for his wife's overseas trip came from personal funds, not from state treasury or third-party assistance.
"I ensure that not a single rupiah comes from government funds or any other party. All expenses, from airplane tickets to hotels, are paid using my wife's personal funds," Maman said when giving his statement on Friday, July 4, 2025.
She also stated that the payment documents were directly submitted to KPK as a form of moral and legal responsibility for her status as a state official.
"Saya telah memberikan bukti transaksi yang menunjukkan seluruh pembayaran dilakukan dari rekening pribadi istri saya," tambahnya.
Furthermore, Maman explained that his wife's departure to Europe was to accompany their son who is still in the first grade of junior high school in a cultural mission activity regularly held by the school.
The activity was attended by about 27 students and aims to introduce Indonesian culture abroad. "My wife is not traveling alone, but as a companion to our child who is participating in school activities abroad," explained Maman.
Regarding the emergence of a document claimed to be from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) and linking the trip to state facilities, Maman stated that he did not know the origin of the document and had never issued any orders or instructions related to it.
She asked the public to stop speculation that she believes can interfere with children's activities who are carrying out cultural tasks abroad.
"I have never instructed or directed to publish that document. Please stop this controversy. Our children are struggling to uphold the school's and the nation's reputation," he concluded. ***
